ENDARKENMENT

What we call reformation or enlightenment in kerala was not a unified and singular process. while the  Brahminical elites had tried to shine a torch into dalit eyes, the subalterns themselves had undertaken a programme of endarkenment which attempted to bring out the subjugated knowledges(know-ledges) of an egalitarian kind, by establishing connections with various other groups and with god to reveal the deep structures of hegemony.
