DOES IT NOT MATTER

When we go about things

As if they did not matter

Or as if only things do matter

(Are things not matter?)

There comes around a bend

A landscape of thorny bushes

And sharp rocks projecting from the soil

A place from where the land calls out

The dust calls out

Rocks call out

And to where no palm tree has drifted.

To be here

Just before the turn

Is still to be undisturbed

By what turns in the turn

By what turns out

To be.

Telephotocopia

Easy shipment

Everyday merchandise

Can what passes between passes

And with or without passes

Be all the same.

The door was closed

And rain was falling

Falling with a faith about being raised

Falling into a fall; falling away from.
