Daddy’s big woe

 Benoy P.J

I know
That when I am myself
I am daddy’s big woe.
(To rhyme with it
daddy had a big toe.)
I know that daddy sleeps lesser
When I sleep sound.

So when the nut became a tree
He couldn’t hide it
In his pocket anymore.
Would he prefer one to the other?
No one can surely say
(And he would keep mum.).

Daddy’s heart is so big
With all its four chambers
Though when I try to cramp in
I find it too tiny.

He is so proper
With all the right words
Though when I start listening
I can’t but help yawning.

Daddy’s steps are so correct
While I sway and I swagger
His friends are all chosen
Though I find them all frozen
If I may so say.

I too have friends
Who do jump and do fly
Who do sweat and who swear
(Such a bad thing,
But what a sweet pleasure,
When you are with them.).

And so daddy will prefer
To have me on tether,
I know
That when I am myself
I am daddy’s big woe.
