THE PROPERTY THIEF

How many families had to leave their homes
When Ram the property thief and his hatchet men
Delivered blows to their heads
And took away everything from them that was theirs
Except God
Who still remained
Unseen, and uncared for!

When he wanted to takeover
The reins and reign
Over God
The one who made it rain and laugh
And had made the world just
Over which he wanted ice to be laid
So that just-ice could not be
But when the moment came there was nowhere else to go
Since every way
However round about it went
Had to end up in God
Because there was no other way
But in God!

Vaaman the theif who wanted to dwarf the world
Pretended himself to be a dwarf
But the verve with which he overstepped the paradise
God, and the people who belonged there
Trying out his techniques
Everywhere he went
Was not to be!

Mohini the trans vestist who played at trances
And trashed the world
And was never a trans, though he dressed up so!
Stealing resources
Meant for the buffalo folk
And thrashed God
For the shit co(alle)ld gold
Was in his mind
Even as he played at God!

Bali,
Whom the enemies would endow with double their power
Or Sita his love
Where not to be
Because Ram found a kitchen
To keep her in it
And wanted Sugreev
To be her charge
With doggy Lax-man's to watch over with
While he knifed the sister of god
Oh. what a gory sight!
But he couldn't tie up the dark jew
With the death that he had made up
Because god never dies
But only waits
Till the time comes
To see whether he could fare
Any better  with his glaring and daring
And his shady ways.

While he wanted for Ceasar
As much as was due to God
And then wouldn't allow God
Or the people to have any, at all
Since his greed let nothing remain
That was not his own.
Weigh Raja, Weigh!
He would say
So that Rajas side of the measure
Was always weighed down
While all else suffered
From his daily diet of God's flesh
And blood.

So this could not be
Nero at the bath ready
To enter a corpse
Manu at his banquet
Eating Buddha
So that he can be God!
And the peoople
Wailing about the duck
That used to deliver eggs of plenty
Which was eaten by a blue fox
In a jiffy so that parity
Cam about between God and man
While everywhere else
And between the people
It just disappeared.
God had to come by himself and set this right
For what was due to God
Was eaten up by Ceasar
(Since God was averse
Of worldly goods -
As he were to say)
While he let his people
Go scot-free
Because he had nothing 'extra'
Which he could give to them.
But this could never be!

Praise be to God
And his kingdom
Where what was due to each
Was so delivered!
