FROM RUMINATION TO RUMI - NATION
When
you are made to
Chew
the cud
They
want the nausea
To
return
As
if nothing new
Could
be taken in.
So
eat when things
Are
fresh and new
Leave
the dead
To
take care
Of
themselves.
Rumi’s
path was muddy and roomy
And
not given
To
rumination.
His
tryst with god was
All
the nation that he had
Compact
and everyday
Since
he could dispense off his donkey
In
a feast
And
walk about
Without
further ado.
